Patient check-in

Depending on the service, you can check in either by yourself or at a Pihlajalinna customer service point.

Pihlajalinna has various methods for checking in

In order to have a smooth check-in experience, please take note of the following.

1. Bring a photo ID and your Kela card

Bring a photo ID and your Kela card to the appointment. A photo ID is a passport, driving licence or an identity card with a photo.

Please note that a Kela card is not an ID.

2. Bring any other necessary documents

Bring with you any other documents that may be needed at the appointment. This can include, for example, health-related information you have received from somewhere else.

3. Arrive on time

Make sure to arrive at the clinic in good time to have enough time for the check in. If you are coming in for a laboratory test, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to make sure your blood circulation is steady.

4. Check in in the most suitable manner

Depending on the service, you can check in either by yourself with an SMS or at a check-in kiosk. You can also always check in with the staff if the clinic has a customer service point.

Checking in by SMS: If you received a check-in text message, you can check in by replying to the message and following the instructions.

The check-in SMS will be sent to you before your appointment. When checking in by SMS, you will receive a confirmation that includes information about the room in which your appointment will take place as well as where you can wait.

Checking in at a kiosk: You can check in for most Pihlajalinna services at a kiosk. If you check in at a kiosk, you have to scan the barcode on your photo ID or Kela card with the barcode scanner. The kiosk will tell you in which room your appointment will take place and where you can wait.

Checking in at a customer service point: You can also always check in at the customer service point if the clinic has one. If you are visiting us for the first time, we recommend checking in at the customer service point.

You also have to check in at the customer service point if you are visiting us with a service voucher.

5. After your appointment

If the clinic has a customer service point, please visit it after your appointment.
