Pekka Nieminen

I have worked as a gynecologist for more than 30 years and have strong knowledge and experience in all kinds of gynecological problems. At the HUS Women's Clinic, I have been responsible for the diagnostics and treatment of cervical cancer and its precursors (Pap smear changes, HPV diseases, colposcopies, loop procedures, etc.) for over 30 years. I have also been responsible for the treatment of gynecological infections and vulvodynia (painful conditions of the vagina and vulva). I have the first colposcopy certificate in Finland and have also been the president of the European Federation for Colposcopy.

As a gynecologist, I take my patients particularly well into consideration and focus carefully on their problems. In a gynecological examination, I always inform my patients in advance about evverything I will do, taking into account the patient's wishes.
