I am a specialist in Ear, nose, and throat diseases and an assistant professor at the University of Helsinki. I have 30 years of diverse experience in patient care as an ENT doctor for both children and adults. I have worked for over 20 years in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea. Together with my experienced nurses, we have diagnosed tens of thousands and treated thousands of sleep apnea patients. I am a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Finnish Sleep Research Society.
I am also a music doctor. I lead the multidisciplinary Musician Clinic at the Helsinki Music Centre. I have a special qualification in Music Medicine.
I have conducted scientific research and publications on infectious diseases (my dissertation was on ticks and Lyme borreliosis), musicians' health, tropical medicine and medical ethics. Please note that at Pihlajalinna, I primarily treat sleep apnea patients and musicians, and focus on the national development of sleep care at Pihlajalinna.
