Kirsi Virtanen

I am associate professor in metabolic research and my main research interest in the function of human adipose tissue. I treat patients with challenges of obesity and weight maintenance. These have also been the interests of my research for a long time. Treatment of obesity is usually a longstanding, goal oriented and individual based process. Success of the treatment requires commitment both from the client and the doctor and nurse. I am glad to help in the process and willing to commit to the treatment and the goals of the treatment.
