Health care objection

According to section 10 of the Act on the Status and Rights of Patients (785/1992), a patient who is not satisfied with the health care or medical care and the related treatment received by them has the right to submit an objection on the matter to the director responsible for health care in the health care unit in question. The aim of the objection is to restore the understanding and trust in the care. There is no deadline for submitting the objection. However, for the matter to be solved, it is expedient to submit the objection as soon as possible after the incident that led to the objection. You will receive a written response to the objection.

Please note that you cannot submit this electronic form to file an objection on someone else’s behalf. If your family member or close one cannot submit an objection concerning their care or treatment themselves, you can submit the objection on his or her behalf. You are entitled to access his or her health information by a power of attorney, or if you are a representative of death estate or a guardian entitled to health information. The objection must be delivered directly to Pihlajalinna’s unit.

If you have received care at Pihlajalinna through the wellbeing services county’s system, please submit the objection to the wellbeing services county.
